Acrylic Compositions
Drawing from a fascination with fabric, texture, and the structural logic of weaving, I use acrylic paint not only as a colorant but as a flexible, tactile material. These works begin as flat surfaces but evolve into dimensional compositions that mimic the softness and interlacing rhythm of textiles while remaining rigid and sculptural. Textiles, with their cultural significance and tactile intimacy, serve as both inspiration and visual language. I consider how pattern, repetition, and surface treatment found in fabric design can be reinterpreted through painterly processes. By pouring, cutting, and weaving strips of acrylic, I create hybrid objects that blur the lines between painting, fiber art, and sculpture.
